Andy Crowner

Founder & Owner-Operator

Andy’s journey in electrical work began at just 17 years old, fresh out of high school in 1987. Starting as a helper with a family friend’s company, he learned the trade from the ground up, focusing primarily on residential work while developing the hands-on skills and work ethic that would define his career.

In the early 1990s, Andy expanded his expertise by gaining valuable commercial and industrial experience with another company, broadening his understanding of complex electrical systems. This diverse background gave him the comprehensive knowledge needed to tackle any electrical challenge.

Andy obtained his electrical licenses in Maryland and West Virginia in 1993-94, and in 1994, he took the leap to start ACW Electric. For over 30 years, he has remained committed to serving the local tri-state area, specializing in residential work while also providing light commercial services. As an owner-operator, Andy personally oversees every project, ensuring the same level of quality and attention to detail that built his reputation.

Zack Crowner

Second Generation Electrician

Zack grew up surrounded by the electrical trade, accompanying his father Andy to job sites as a child where he would “just hang out” and absorb the business. What started as curiosity evolved into genuine passion for the work.

During his junior and senior years of high school, Zack began working more seriously alongside his father, learning the trade through hands-on experience and Andy’s mentorship. After graduating high school in 2019, Zack joined ACW Electric full-time, bringing fresh energy and modern perspectives to the family business while maintaining the same commitment to quality workmanship that defines the Crowner name.
